Really? Those two arguments don't go together. DX 10 was crap so it wasn't implemented. Just like earlier versions of DX sucked until DX 8.1 came along.

So Crysis, COH, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3 and such were designed for consoles and 'ported' to the PC? And just what are 'we' not seeing?
 
Heard before somewhere that ATI will come up with entirely new architecture for DX 11, which would not be based on R600..we can't say how much SP's would be? It could be 100 or 1000+ who knows?
I'd never believe on early rumours particularly about RV870.
