Lenovo is preparing a new tablet, namely the Lenovo Ideapad A2107. What's different about this tablet? Well for starters it packs two SIM slots. Yup, say hello to Lenovo's dual sim tablet folks! What makes this tablet even more special is it's pricing. A sub 14k tablet loaded with all these features is a pretty rare sight.

The Lenovo Ideapad A2017 packs the following specs under the hood:
  • Mediatek MTK 6575 chipset
  • 1 GHz single core ARM Cortex A9 CPU
  • PowerVR SGX531 GPU
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 7" HD (1024*600) capacitive display
  • 16 GB of internal storage
  • 2 MP rear camera
  • 0.3 MP VGA front camera
  • Dual SIM slots
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, no HDMI
  • 400 grams weight
  • upto 8 hours on 3G (usage)
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

As you can see, the specifications sheet is pretty strong. We wish it were a dual core chipset instead. The display is better than the current crop of 7" WVGA tablets. The 1 GB of RAM is warmly welcome. Android 4.0 is a downer, we hope Lenovo updates the tablet to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The tablet has an internal roll cage to protect from damage due to falls. 16 GB of internal storage might soon be complimented with a cheaper 8 GB version. The cameras are nothing to write about, but gets the basic job done. No HDMI is a bummer, since it's there on almost every tablet these days.

8 hours of usage on 3G is promising. And the best part is the price tag of Rs. 13,999. At that price, there is only one competitor that is the Huawei MediaPad Lite with a faster 1.2 GHz processor and bigger 3.2 MP camera sensor. You can buy the tablet off eBay India by following the link below:
