Lenovo Launches A1000, A3000 and S6000 Tablets in India

Lenovo has launched three new tablets in Indian market today - A1000, A3000 and S6000 ranging from Rs 8,999 to Rs 27,000.

The A1000 is the budget offering and comes with 7 inch display with 1024x600 resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB storage. It has SIM card slots and supports 2G EDGE speeds with voice calling.

The lenovo S6000 comes with 10 inch Display with 1280x800 resolution. It is also powered by MediaTek 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It also has SIM card slot and supprts 3G data.

Below is a copy paste of a post from another website that more or less sums up my sentiments on the S6000-

"How does a product (S6000) thats currently available on Amazon for $249 (roughly Rs.15,500) become almost double ie. Rs.27,000 - the moment it lands in India?"

Looks like Lenovo has decided to give Samsung & Sony competition for the "ridiculously over-priced tablets" awards category when it comes to India...
