Am looking to replace my Dell Inspiron 14 N4110 laptop that is almost 4 years old now, and starting to give various problems. I came across the Lenovo S510P through Desidime forums. A seller in paytm is selling this for close to 40K, with manufacturer warranty. With paytm's 6K cashback offer, it does look tempting. With a 4th gen core i5 laptop, Windows preinstalled and a GT720M, the price seems reasonable.

Please let me know if it is worthy buy. Are there any better alternatives, especially if I skip the gfx card? I don't really need one. Onboard graphics should be sufficient for my use.

Nope. At that price you'll get the Z50-70 with better GPU GT-820M and a full-HD screen. If you don't need the GPU, a model without the GPU costs about 37k.

@pauldmps From what I found, a z50-70 with valid windows license costs upwards of 43k. DOS versions sell for 37k+.. Hence the confusion.

The price difference you pay for Windows 8.1 Single language isn't worth it. You can get Windows 8.1 Pro for Rs. 3499 if you're a student.

compared to Z50 and G50 series the S510p is sleek when comes to look.Rest everything remains the same.So its not worth i guess.
If you plan to go for lenovo its better to get a DOS version coz of the issue thats going on with Superfish craps
