Laptops Lenovo support

Hey all ,
I need to verify about thinkessentials.
They are supposed to be official lenovo partner for extended warranty.
Has anyone used them in past ?

Seems to be ok. Its a good find - I shall keep them in mind when I need a new battery for my thinkpad x220.

I bought it for my e420 edge thinkpad.
Lets see how it goes.

I bought it on 15th january and so far it has shown no movement of any sort.
Seems like classic company. Enthusiast till money comes then lethargic as if doing favor by giving service.

Why are members silent ? No one uses extended warranty or am I alone ?

I use extended warranty 3yr cc. Got it directly from an IBM/Lenovo reseller last year. It is to be activated 15 days post the completion of your official factory warranty as per the IBM service center. It can be done post the completion of your system's warranty as well. The guys at IBM just updated my product's serial number with that of the warranty pack online and it reflects on their system. Contact your IBM service center for details. IBM still handles after sales support for thinkpads atleast the X,W,T,L,SL series. I don't know about the edge series. Anyways thinkpads are one of the world's best built, most reliable systems and don't need extended warranty.
