Lenovo’s subsidiary ZUK will be unveiling its
new Z2 smartphone on May 31, in China.
The company posted a teaser image of the
launch on its Weibo account, which points
towards the smartphone being powered by a
Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However
ZUK’s CEO Chang Cheng had earlier hinted
on Weibo that the upcoming smartphone
may be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 8890
SoC. Further, he also posted renders of the
upcoming device. It is possible that the
upcoming smartphone may have two
variants. It is not known which Snapdragon
processor will be used in the upcoming
smartphone, but speculations suggests that
it will either be the Snapdragon 820 or
Snapdragon 652. Apart from this, the ZUK
Z2 is expected to feature a 4.7-inch Full HD
display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of
storage. It is also tipped to feature a
4100mAh battery, and 13MP/8MP cameras.
ZUK CEO’s Chang Cheng recently confirmed that it will run the Samsung’s Exynos 8890 chipset, which also powers the Galaxy S7 smartphone. It is highly unlikely that ZUK CEO will give away wrong information. So, it could be possible that the ZUK Z2 comes in two variants – one powered by a Samsung chipset and another one with Qualcomm
chipset.
