HP printer the junk which I had to chuck out twice after 2-3 refills as the cartridge went bad and they had a better model which looked better for the price of a bottle of ink.

Get REAL price your products REASONABLY. Its cheaper to get prints from the market Rs.2.5 per page in a place I know and if you have a large no. of copies its Rs. 2.

Its like I gave you a car but no petrol go live with it.

I have it on good authority that members allegedly representing HP are making multiple forum ids to spam and deliberately mislead people about a competitor's products

@ all some really good observations!!!:cool2:

have 5 hp printers in my small architectural office!!!i print aprroximately 750-1000 A3 Prints and about 1500 A4 prints everymonth between the four main printers(leaving the J4580)all are within 12/18 months old exepth the HP 1180C which is about 5 years old(ya maybe more). Earlier i used to print both A3 & A4 on the same printer 1180C, now have shifted to multiple printers due to paper loading and power/standby issues.

A3-Hp Deskjet 1180C-have always used refilled cartridges as genuine set costs aprox.2.5k per set-i print about 1000 PPM....thats running for 5 years now 2003/04 i guess was the SD.

A4-Hp Deskjet D1560- again using refill cartridges.easy to refill, nice basic printer.

A4- Hp Deskjet D1668- they have changed the cartridge design!!!may find empty refill kits harder to find!!!:@

AIO-HP4300-shares the cartridges with the D1560...gr8!!!but wastes a lot of ink on constant alignment!!!

AIO-HPJ4580-waste of money have used rarely coz refill cartriges's are unavailabe due to new cartrige design-also very costly changed to New original Hp cartridge, very low print yeild. also the original cartridge leaked all the ink and got wasted!!!waste of 1400 bucks!!!tell me why use original?????:@

...ya long post!!!

slo you guys should fix the HP bloat ware that you ship with your products!!!400/500mb HP customer programs is utter crap for which i guess you should be sued!!

I am using F4488 and have sold 6 numbers of the same to my clients apart from other printers

Great to hear that! May I know what you think makes this printer attractive to your buyers? What are your experiences using it?

Cheers!

I have the HP DJ F4185 AIO.
Besides the ink cartridges being expensive, the only con I can think of is that the scanner and the default software provided is not to the mark. The default software is too much of a bloat on the pc with little performance in it.
The default windows printer drivers work better. And i can scan faster from an applications Twain interface than when using the provided software. Descreen is a joke. No support for decsreen dpi in it. So in the end I uninstalled the HP software. Your printer works faster without it installed :D

Very good insight :) We'll definitely review this.

buddy this guy (HP guy) just spammed on all 4 forums i am on, same question :D

It isn't spamming but opening up all portals to finally listen directly on what consumers think about the products we sell as well as to get suggestions how to make both processes and products better. As you can see, this thread is very welcoming to all kinds of suggestions and comments, good and bad.

Cheers!

You can review all my replies to this thread and if you see anything that is offensive or derogatory to HP competitors, then please feel free to report it to the administrators of this website.

As you can observe, I am mostly just encouraging thread visitors to share their experiences, good and bad, about HP products. There is no attempt to compare HP with competitors nor attempts to give advantage to HP at their expense.

I do not know which century you're from, but here in the 24th century Earth, we call it spam and I am pretty sure the location you're at, singapore, follows the same philosophy. Its pretty sad to see big shot titles are being stooped down to spam, in the name of survey.

@Thomas, as long as you don't try to promote your overpriced HP ink to people, you'll do fine here. But you want people to buy HP ink (see your thread title), that's why you are here.

Everyone knows that all printer manufacturers make huge margins on ink, and you will do anything possible to prevent people from refilling (right from installing chips on the cartridge, air bubbles, changing your cartridge design every few months..etc).

People want to refill, but you prevent them from refilling. As long as this remains true, if you ask feedback on your ink, you will get the same treatment you are getting here.

If you want to ask about improving printers or their usability, etc, it is a different story; we all encourage such initiatives, but as your thread title suggests, that is not what you have in mind primarily.

Mr thomas you and your company is plain bullcrap

You dont have the balls to reply to a negative comment even when they are abundant in the previous pages. Lets see you handle a critique, a geniune one at that mr smart pants at hp

@Thomas - Just saw this thread. Most of what I want to say has already been said.

Some corrections are in order:

One nice post mentioned the cost of HP ink for a 21 ml cartridge. I would like to calculate for the most popular HP21 cartridge. Your website is too scared to mention the capacity of this cartridge. I estimate this is just 5 ml. Am I right?

If so, the cost of ink becomes Rs. 160000 per l. Black ink mind you. Lovely business for HP

I switched from HP to Canon years ago when I found HP was taking us for a ride. But then, the others started following your lead.

Some months ago I needed to buy a AIO. My strategy was to work out which one would have the lowest cost of ownership and you know what? I landed with HP; the F2120.

But don't celebrate too soon. The best part about this was that it uses the HP21 and HP22. Yes the same cartridge whose ink costs Rs 160000 a litre if HP supplies it. HP has made attempts to block users from refilling the cartridge and users have found ways to circumvent you. The Spy v/s Spy story will go on.

Let me tell you; as soon as you discontinued your models using HP21 and HP22, you lost your competitive edge once more. The 818 series is not such a good refiller and I don't recommend your products to friends anymore.

Unless you make cartridges affordable, you can do what you like but we will refill. HP retailers threaten users about voiding of warranties if refilled cartridges are used. Do you support that?

You are probably aware that in countries like the United States, court rulings have castigated HP for voiding warranties on such grounds as it gives rise to monopoly. Sadly, many users in India are perhaps not aware of it. Can you comment on this?

If I buy a new printer use it till the cartridge gets over. Sell it to someone and buy a newer model .. wont this be cheaper than buying a new cartridge ?

@Thomas

lovely way to get to hear people and real users experience.... so good work but u now what :)

u havent answered or expressed any sort of empathy or solution to so many issues. only reply came from you was to get feedback how many printers sold and you said u aint a spammer.

being a brand person myself.... you are damaging HP more than doing any good. from what all have said i would rather have Epson not HP and surely word of mouth would spread.

Totally agree with all, just make your cartridges affordable. I use HP 21 & 22 cartridge, which I refill for a mere 50 and 100 bucks respectively and I think its better to just refill then to buy new cartridges and spend a fortune for no reason. So refilling for me is the way to go. Why spend more.
