Ok, i bought this player last week and tried some 5-6 files at it.
played them flawlessly....

But there are two probs now :

i) It stuttered...while playing one divx file (a dvdrip)...which seems like every other file...(havent tried it in g-spot).

ii) the volume button just doesnt work. the volume button is grouped under 'tvcontrol' (or something of that sort) on the remote..and there a power off button as well (there's another one for the player which works...this one under the tv control section doesnt).
how to control the volume without changing tv volume??

any1 faced similar issues with the player??

I think the volume buttom avail with DVD Remote is work only with certain LG TV. If you don't have LG or Suitable LG model TV, Volume button didn't work.

About DIVX movie I didn't yet try it. If some one have any spare DIVX DVD or CD (movie) please mail to me and I will pay for Courier+ CD/DVD.

thats lame! they should have a volume control button for the player...

and another thing...multi-session dvd's dont work. i.e the contents of the next session do not show up in the player. :@

I bought this same model last Wednesday too. In fact I have a LG TV myself but the TV group of controls on the DVD player remote don't work on my TV either. It hasn't bothered me so far because I use the TV remote for control of the TV.
I don't believe any of the DVD players have their volume controllable in any case. They have an output level that is in line with the normal line-out specification. Volume control is always a feature of the amplifier external to your DVD player.

well... my prev sanusi dvd player had a volume control on the remote that boosted the volume quite considerably.

but ur right, volume isnt an issue...its the video stuttering while playing that bothers me.....

Actually, I bought this player mainly for music and haven't watched a single movie or video on it so far. So obviously I haven't faced any of those problems.
One point that did irritate me was that the dealer stated that this model (DZ9443CPM-A) had some features better than the DS9533 which is the older model. But that is absolute crap. The DS9533 has optical digital output and S-Video which mine doesn't have. I don't mind really because anyway it has component video and co-axial. Aesthetics-wise, this all-chrome look suited me better.
WARNING!!!!! - To potential buyers. There is another model DZ9443CPM that doesn't have 5.1 analog output. Be alert when you buy. I would say you should look for the connectors at the back to make sure.

Why buy other, when you know LG DS9533 have more features than any other LG DVD Player, and the price is almost same or low than New Models. You can bargain for price as Dealer called DS9533 is OLD! (j/k)

Ask the dealer and get DS9533, if he don't have ask him to arrange and I am sure any dealer will same if you (optional) pay him some advance !

Perhaps one might not need the two extra features that the 9533 has?
Perhaps one might prefer the looks of the 9443?
Perhaps the 9533 is not available off the shelf and one is not prepared to wait?
Perhaps dealers are more prepared to come down on price when they are holding stock rather than if they have to fetch it specially for you?

Those are some of the reasons I can think of. I'm sure there would be more. Anycase each one's situation is unique.
By the way I paid Rs 3100 for my DZ9443CPM-A
