We all know by now that Google will be launching it's next generation Nexus smartphone on October 29th namely the LG Nexus 4. Till now the details for the smartphone were derived off the LG Optimus G (on which the Nexus 4 is based). The freshly leaked LG E960 support manual confirms a few more details about the phone.

LG E960 support manual leaked

We have previously covered the LG Nexus 4 here (click to read). The leaked LG E960 support manual sheds more details about the LG Nexus 4 smartphone. This information gets leaked just 2 days ahead of Google's Android event scheduled for the 29th of October in New York. So what new do we find out about the device? Well, there's good news and bad news and just news.
News

  • Confirmed 8 & 16 GB models (internal storage)

This is something we already knew, but now we know for sure that the LG Nexus 4 will come in two flavors, of 8 GB and 16 GB internal storage respectively. Expect a $50 price difference between the two.
The Good

  • Induction Coil for wireless charging

So wireless charging is the next big thing isn't it. Nokia went all out demonstrating the feature in their new Lumia 920, and we admit it really is impressive. No plugging in any chords. Just simple induction charging. Simplicity (Apple, ye hear us? Real innovation).

But that's not all. There's bad news too.
The Bad

  • No micro SD card slot for additional storage

This is a major let down. We users really were hoping for inclusion of a micro SD card slot, but Google continues to ignore us. 8 GB is simply too less for most users buying a flagship smartphone. The 16 GB model does help, but the freedom of freely expanding your storage is unparalleled. Why even cheap feature phones support upto 32 GB SD cards, so why do flagship smartphones leave it out? A question we want to ask LG and Google directly.
