LG G Pro Lite mid-range phablet from LG is now available in India and listed on online retailer Snapdeal at Rs 18,300.

The LG G Pro features big 5.5 inch display with qHD resolution, it looks quite similar to the Optimus G Pro but cuts down the specs to bring down the price. It also has stereo speakers on the bottom and comes with a capacitive stylus.

It has MT6577 1GHz dual-c0re processor which is very disappointing, as even cheap smartphones in Rs 5000 range are coming with faster processors these days. There is 1GB RAM and 8GB storage onboard with microSD card slot for expansion.

Key Specifications:
  • - Processor: MT6577 1.0 GHz Dual Core
  • - Display: 5.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels)
  • - Network: 3G (HSDPA: 7.2Mbps / HSUPA: 5.76Mbps)
  • - Memory: 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, MicroSD
  • - Camera: Rear 8.0MP BSI / Front 1.3MP
  • - Battery: 3,140 mAh (removable)
  • - Operating System: Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2
  • - Size: 150.2 x 76.9 x 9.4mm
  • - Weight: 161g
  • - Connectivity: Bluetooth 3.0, USB2.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi Direct
  • - Colors: Black, White

The device will compete with the likes of Sony Xperia C, Galaxy Grand Duos and Micromax Canvas 4 in this price range, with a decent processor it could have been a better option.

Whats happening to LG, Samsung etc etc..just to harvest money they are trying to palm off inferior mobiles like Galaxy Grand Duos, LG G pro etc- lame horses for India. Just because of fancy names- inferior stuff will not run in India and both these companies are being inundated by companies like Micromax- at least they are slightly less predatory in pricing.

Whether or not you like it, its these models that are the bread and butter of companies.

Not everyone buys a 600$ smartphone anyway.
