Storage Solutions Lg Gsa-h55n Pata 20x Dvdrw Weird Issue

guys, having a GSA-H55N 20x PATA LG DVD-RW. Being a year old, was functioning fine.

Yesterday I removed it and fixed into another PC. from this time nero has started showing as 12x (16,620KB/s) speed in NERO Burning Rom under the Drive info.

But for my new LG Sata drive 22x GH22NS30 it shows as 48x (7,200 KB/s)cd speed.

so it is clearly understood that nero only reports the cd speed and not the dvd speed in all the LG drives ( dont know about other brands), since i have used 4 -5 LG dvd-rw drives...

but here in this drive it reports the DVD speed and that too only 12x, whereas the writing capacity of the drive is 20x !!!..
Now the max. speed i can write is only at 12x. so, i fixed the drive into the same pc in which it was working so long and even in that pc it reports as 12x speed and writes dvds only at this speed. will a firmware update fix this problem.

plz help guys. dont know whats wrong...

OK GUYS I MYSELF , FOUND THE SOLUTION FOR THIS ISSUE, NEWAY WILL EXPLAIN IT HERE..

actually it a media compatibility issue. The SOny dvd-r media (100pack) which i bought 2 days back is not that compat. with this drive it seems. when i used a moserbaoer dvd-r it is showing the correct speed 16x.
do u know y it reported as 12x, because the media was inside the drive. when i removed it, it reported as usual 48x (cd speed). so if a dvd media is inside the drive, the drive info shows the max. possible write speed for that media, which i had mistaken for the drive speed. its not the drive speed but the media speed !!!..

the same media which i used it in my latest lg dvd rw drive and another old one, it reports as 16x only. but this drive due to unknown reasons is incompatible with the media i bought recently and when i bought the same media and used last time it was Ok !!!
