LG introduces Quick Voice For Optimus Smartphones to compete with Siri and S-Voice
LG has launched voice recognition based virtual assistant called Quick Voice to compete with Samsung S Voice and Apple Siri .
The LG Quick Voice is designed for LG Optimus series smartphones Optimus Vu and Optimus LTE II, and is expected to launch in June and July. It will be available for the upcoming Optimus family smartphones as well .
The Quick Voice service will let users interact with their device using voice commands . Users can make voice calls , send SMS , view contacts , alarms , calendar and eleven other applications including weather ,maps , stocks and web search .
Now major players like LG , Samsung and Apple have their voice assistants , only HTC is left , so perhaps we could one from HTC as well . Google is also reportedly working on natural language processing assistant dubbed as Assistant aka Project Majel. This service is expected to be unveiled next month at the Google I/O conference.
