Android LG Nexus 5 from USA, will it work in India? - Please share your experiences

Friends,

Currently in USA for few days trip. Tempted to buy this:

Any one has tried this in India? Looks like 3G should be stable. Please share your experiences and it will be he highly appreciated.

There are two models from what I can see in Internet (D820 and D821). One is for USA and another for rest of world. I wanted to know whether anyone here has tried and their experiences since I am not carrying my India SIM.

The D821 will work with all bands in India. Try to get that.

I have D820 model from USA and Airtel 3G works just fine for me.

EDIT: Follwing is the difference I found from androidcentral.com. The GSM bands are identical so 3G should not be a problem. Its the LTE and CDMA bands that are different.

North America (D820) model:

• GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
• CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
• WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
• LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41

Rest of World (D821) model:

• GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
• WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8
• LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20
