LG has finally launched their new L II series smartphones. It's the LG Optimus L3 II Dual and L7 II Dual (they need to hire a new guy to choose names) only for the time being. Both smartphones are of different price range, one being an entry level phone while the other being a mid-range offering.
LG Optimus L3 II Dual

The LG Optimus L3 II Dual is a small phone. With a 3.2 inch display, it's a far cry compared to the huge 5 inch phones that are popular today. That being said, the Optimus L3 II Dual is an entry level dual sim smartphone powered by a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The large 1540 mAh battery is more than welcome! This phone will go heads on with the newly announced Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo (the L3 II being superior in many aspects).
LG Optimus L3 II Dual Specifications

  • 1 GHz processor
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 3.2″ QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) IPS display
  • 3.2 MP rear camera
  • 4 GB of internal storage
  • expandable storage up to 32 GB via micro SD card
  • dual SIM (GSM + GSM)
  • 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, aGPS, BT
  • 1,540 mAh battery
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Specifications wise, it trumps the Galaxy Pocket Neo. The LG Optimus L3 II Dual is listed on Flipkart for Rs. 7,899 only, which is a pretty good launch price according to us.
LG Optimus L7 II Dual

The LG Optimus L7 II Dual is a mid range smartphone. Packing a dual core chipset with 768 MB of RAM and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the 4.3 inch WVGA display and the 8 MP camera along with the big 2,460 mAh battery add value to this already attractive proposition. For this price, we were really hoping for a better chipset (faster, newer), but then again there are a limited number of chips that support Dual SIM, and this chip happens to be one of them.

LG Optimus L7 II Dual Specifications

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset
  • 1 GHz dual core ARM Cortex A5 CPU
  • Adreno 203 GPU
  • 768 MB of RAM
  • 4.3" WVGA (800 x 480) IPS display
  • 8 MP rear camera, 720p video recording
  • VGA front facing camera
  • 2 GB of internal storage, expandable via MicroSD card slot
  • QSlide and QuickTranslator apps
  • dual SIM (GSM + GSM)
  • 3G support, WiFi, USB 2.0 port
  • 2,460 mAh battery
  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

The Optimus L7 II Dual is listed on Flipkart for Rs. 14,990. The price is a bit on the higher side, and we would love to recommend this phone had it costed about Rs. 11,000 - Rs. 12,000 only.
