Last year LG had announced Android ICS update for its Optimus 2X and Optimus Black smartphones . The ICS update for Optimus 2X was expected in Q2 but later delayed to Q3 and Optimus Black update was scheduled for Q3 .
But now LG has backed off and said Optimus 2X and Black will not get ICS . It has dismissed last year's statement about the update by saying "the original update announcement was a general statement issued from HQ "
But this statement is from LG Canada so it may be for Canada only . Notably, LG had issued a secondary statement recently announcing that the ICS upgrade for LG Optimus 2X has been pushed to Q3.
