PC Peripherals Life of DVD writer?

What is the avg life of DVD writers? I have written nearly 300-350 DVD's in my writer... is there any life time for DVD writers? or may be in terms of no of DVDs that can be written...
 
Doesnt matter how many dvds u write. However if you let dust accumulate on it, the life could be pretty short.

My LG 32x has written more than 800 CD's...now the LG 52x writers fail after a few months or 1 year...
My LG bought in 2002 is still one of the products which was a wonderful buy, fully paisa vaasooli...:)
 
Vivek, follow my motto (on computer peripherials)... as long as its working, dont worry about it!
 
for me till date i have used 6 optical drives over a period of six years with each having abg life of one year, the benq 1640 is my 7th drive, dunno how long it will last
 
^^Thats pretty pathetic luck :) Hope the benq lasts longer ;). My NEC burner has lasted me more than a year now. (Fingers crossed :P)
