Limit on number of times you can replace a sennheiser product??

I bought a Sennheiser CX180 earphone from Starmark,kolkata on october 2011.It comes with 2 year warranty.I replaced it four times ,the fourth time being today and the guy at starmark told that I have used up my quota of replacement and I cant replace it anymore.His logic is that Sennheiser has limit of one replacement per six month----which adds up to four time for a 2 year warranty....Is this true??No where is it mentioned ,neither in the box nor on the website that there is a limit ......I called the sennheiser customer care and the guy told that I can send the product on my own with a photocopy of my bill to sennheiser in haryana for replacement in the future if needed....Is it safe??How much would the shipping cost??
 
You've replaced it 4 times? What went wrong? Bad build quality?

Write an email to Sennheiser India explaining your problem. They will get back to you and instruct you on how to proceed....
 
There is nothing wrong with the product...I am just a rough user and earphones don't last very long for me, which is why I bought sennheiser in the first place as it gives 2 year warranty
 
shipping ain't that risky i got my HD202 replaced twice
3 meter long wire is always hard to manage:D
just send it with some courier having some tracking no.
i think service center must be different for your your Zone
i replaced mine from Sennheiser's Mumbai Service Center

so u just sent the earphone and a photocopy of the bill to the service center ??do we have to call them beforehand and tell them i am sending the earphone for replacement or write a letter explaining what is wrong with the earphone along with the photocopy i am sending??

Would request you to kindly forward your defective unit to Mumbai service center along with copy of purchase invoice and packaging box for further necessary procedure.

just drop those guys a mail in advance and ask them to keep you updated..
i did same, told them to update me when they receive my defected headphones and update me when they send the replacement so that i'll make sure someone stays at home to receive it.

I had also shipped my hd 201 to their Haryana (gurgaon) service center and got the replacement.
Do take the number of service centre guy and try to contact them about the status regularly.
I got my replacement in 15 days by courier.
