R520XT works at 600/1400MHz

IT LOOKS like ATI will launch a card with limited availability one more time. ATI did it last time with the X800XT Platinum (Phantom or Press) edition and it looks like it is going to play on that card again.
ATI worked its way to make some better yields for R520 series of cards but it cannot perform miracles. We also learned that ATI's sixteen pipelines R520, aka as Fudo, is going to compete well with twenty four pipelines 7800 GTX.

Nvidia shipped 7800 GTX at launch date and is still shipping them. The cards are still available. ATI will have some R520 XTs, the top flagship model out, but you won't have massive availability. It will take ATI some weeks before it will be able to provide as many cards as needed.

It will launch it in the first week of October and those cards should be available just after. Some of them will be available in quantities like the 500MHz card while the 600MHZ card will be there but not in numbers.

ATI won't get away with this availability problem that easily as Nvidia has set the bars quite high this time. Nvidia announced, delivered and didn’t had any shortages this time and people will be expecting the same from ATI. µ

ATi can never match up with nVidia for some darn reason. Oh yea, its ignorance in availabilty, how could i be so dumb, the cards lately just SUCK!

I don't understand their logic. First of all thier late, and nVidia had 7800GTX's ready to ship on the day of the launch, and these fools can't even supply the cards whenever they are launched :P

Yup. ATi Sucks! Period!
I will never buy another ATi product in my life.
Unless ofcourse it owns the nVidia product at that time. (Yea Right!)
I will never buy ATi again!

*Ahem* ppl most of you wud have cribbed if something like this said had been about Nvidia; Inq sucks, inq isn't accurate. So i'll reiterate *ahem* Its the L'Inq, take the news with a pinch of salt and wait for the actual debut.

but at least nvidia products are available here in india .... as 7800GTX was available right from the day it launched internationally ..... now i am getting nvIDIOT .... never owned a ATi product only have one MSI RS480 at home.... and that also because of my brother ...

ATI has been taken over by AMD but it seems, there has been no improvement in production capacities. Two things are required of ATI.
1) Improve availability
2) Seriously improve their Catalyst drivers.
Only then can they compete against Nvidia.

I hope they improve for competition's sake. Or else, Nvidia will turn into a monopoly dictating what we should use in the coming years.
