As the title states, am looking for a Linksys WRT54G WiFi Router - Ver4 or lower, not looking for the new Ver5.

I'm too lazy to go all the way to Lamington Road to look for it, considering Neotech @ Andheri only has Ver5, I'm in a fix.

So if anyone has a used one (has to have warranty), or can arrange for a Ver4 or lower new one for me within Mumbai, it'd be mucho appreciated.

Looking to finish this at the earliest, gotta setup the whole thing before the weekend etc.

Instead of looking for a second-hand version 4 or lower, which you won't get anyway, go for a new WRT54GL. It's basically a re-badged v4. The v5 & v6 run VxWorks while the GL runs Linux.
 
Dude, I can't friggin find it locally!

Any idea where I can get it out here? Name of store that definately carries it etc.?

Only thing I've seen is the bloody WRT54G Ver5, half the big stores don't even carry Linksys products.

Edit: 4,500 IRS for the WRT54GL on eBay.in - way too excessive don't you think? :P
 
Hmmm... Dunno about Bombay, but the price of a WRT54GL out here in Pune is around 3k to 3.2k. Depends on which shop you go to and how good you are at bargaining! And yes, 4.5k is way too excessive for a WRT54GL.
 
If you do find one, that'd be great. But it's very unlikely that you'll find any old stock lying around. Practically all the stores that I've seen that stock WRT54G routers all have a v5. The GL would be your best bet. It's the same router anyway, but Linksys is making a little extra on the different model number. Sad marketing crap!
