Browser: FF 8.0.1
OS: Snow Leopard
6pack said:^ Both work in FF 8.0 and windows. so its a problem with your FF installation or you have some type of script blocking plugin enabled.
More link in smilies, opens up a new window with more smilies. See if you've some new window popup blocking addon installed in your browser.

1. Say i`'m browsing the forum and some one pm`s me.(I`m using Chrome)
2. I open the message section in the same window and do the needful.
3. Once done, I use the browser back button to go back where i was strolling.
4. Somehow, i am again shown the pop-up alerting me that i have a unread/new message.
5. I open it and i see its the same one i just read.
Crux: Somehow the message alert is not clearing even after i have read the same.

ChessMaster said:This happens with me all the time while using FB in firefox, best way to avoid this is to open inbox in new tab and after reading the message refresh the old page where pop up had come.
Hope this help ..
