1. E-MULE
This is extremely good for rare, hard to find files! One of the best, almost everything is available in this. But its slow, very when compared to to other p2p2 applications. If you have a 256 kbps + broadband, then its might just work faster. Reccomended.

2. LIMEWIRE
This is new, but one of the best p2p clients today! Its clean with no bogus softwares or spyware or ads, and its fast! Its right now the best for music/mp3 downloads. its still growing, and video and software searches may not satisfy you, but still worth a try. Its way better than Kazaa, if you're using Kazaa, just upgrade to this.

3. Kazaa
2 words - Not reccomended! Its old - its dying - and its slow! There are much better p2p's out there that crush Kazaa with a single blow, one of them being Limewire. if you're using Kazaa one can pretty much bet you have a ' Not so healthy ' computer that will probably die soon. You have to be extremely careful while searching files because most likely you'll end up downloading a virus or spyware. Heck Kazaa itself comes with Adware! most of the downloads stop halfway through and sometimes its really frustrating.
If you're still hooked up to Kazaa, and only want kazaa, then at least get kazaa lite/resurrection. but they are hacked version of Kazaa and illegal.

4. Bittorent
The no.1 p2p out today! its almost impossible to get fake/infected or spyware filled files from this. the safest p2p and still the best! though it is available in lots of different clients (look for the links below) it uses a totally different p2p system. the clients work like download managers for .torrent files that are hosted on lots of sites all over the interent. Use google to dig up some good torrent sites of your choice. Web sites host these .torrent files you have to first download, then open it up with your BT client and start downloading!

5. DC++
Don't bother with it if you don't have around 20gb or more to share. But if you do, its really worth it. This uses HUBS that act like different chatrooms of particular choice. The advantage is there are so many HUBS. HUBS for everything from Mp3 to anime to HUBS only sharing immense amount of softwasres and Movies. Then there are lots of HUBS even for their sub-genres! for example you've got some special HUBS that only share " Action Movies " or " Trance Music" Next to E-mule, this is also good for searhcing some hard to find rare files. It has a search engine for HUBS at www.hublist.org . Worth trying it out. Totally clean with no bundles adware or spyware and stuff.

Its got a really cool user interface. And it is also a BT client! on top of that it uses the e-mule server! has many new features and stand out unique from the rest of the p2p's. Give this a try, it just might end up being your favourite p2p client. its clean, no spyware or adware.

Mp3 galaxy is only for mp3, so it can be predicted that its should be good for mp3 searches....BINGO! this is the best! If only it did not get bundled with advertisement and some softwares (that you'd be forced to install with mp3galaxy) i would've reccomened this over Limewire for Music searches. its good.

For a long time, it was the best for only mp3 downloads. But for the rest, it sucks. its slow, the downloads may be decent for search time takes a long time to display a decent amount of results. Nest to mp3galaxy, its one the best for music only downloads. and on top of that - Its clean with no bundled bogus stuff.
