I have changed my ISP from BSNL to local internet provider by the name of " Powernet". Powernet guys says.. that Router is required for WIFI .. with their type of connenction.. ie cable connecting to Lan port of PC./ Laptop.. (RJ 45 )

I have ..Beetel 450 TC1, modem + router , which i used to connect to my BSNL connection... But Powernet guy says.. it will not work...
..
Is it so? or can i configure the Beetel Modem+Router to connect....to '"Powernet"

If .. router is indeed required, then which router to purchase..(within 1 k)... I m looking for speed ,reliability and Wifi range(3BHK)

It is always on.. Basically.. as per their info.... They have tower..outside.. my premisses... They have put a device on my flat terrace....which connects wirellessly to their tower... from the device(on my terrace).. they have put a cable with RJ45 connector,, and connected it to a Router.. and one end of router to my PC .. lan port...

The connection is always.. on. .does not require me to login to anything...[DOUBLEPOST=1450797465][/DOUBLEPOST]anyone??[DOUBLEPOST=1450797500][/DOUBLEPOST]can the Beetel 450TC1 .. be configured to act only as a router with modem facitlity deactivated?

Yes you will need router. For 3BHK house, I doubt there will be one with enough range in your budget. You can get TP-Link 841N near 1k mark. But again coverage across house would be difficult and would largely depend on structure/position of rooms.
