ebay sellers are quoting 13.5k for it..
agree with udit.. surround sound - buy with eyes closed, great build quality, better than the Z5500D IMO. Sound great, but as loggy bass heavy, meaning u need to turn the bass down, when listening ta music...kkndka said:hey the price on theItdepot has dropped.. to 8500 bucks ..
at this price..isint this now a better buy than a altec lansing MX5021?

was waiting for some kind of tech gyan from you my good man...hyeah:Chaos said:The upmixing algos on the audigy2 suck . It sucks even on xfi but then you can tinker around with asio routing and get the same effect. If you use foobar, you can route the audio to ur rear channels too using the asio plugin. No more distortion . However there'll always be a drop in audio quality between fronts and rears.the rears use substandard opamps compared to the fronts.
But the speakers nowadays dont distinguish between front and rear right??Chaos said:the rears use substandard opamps compared to the fronts.
nowadays??? says who... the Z5300 comes with a front left, rear right and so on marking... Chaos is right, just try using the Z5300 in an opposite position (swap the front and rear channels) and you'll notice the degrade in sound, holds true for the S750 gigaworks and G500 gigaworks also.Nikhil said:But the speakers nowadays dont distinguish between front and rear right??
I have 5 identical speakers. I can use any of them wherever I like....
I'm talking about the speakers too pal... who the F is talking about the soundcard?? ofcourse they have a fixed channel setup except the xfi. The Z5300 have the satellites marked as front left and so on, as do the Z5500D. Yeah the centre of both these is more powerful for both these sets, but no so for the megaworks and gigaworks.hunt3r said:Nikhil isnt the centre channel more powerful than the rest? But whatever it is, I dont think hes talking about the speakers. I think he meant the soundcard.
