Hey guys,
I just returned from a nice visit to the park here - nageshwar rao park. Saw atleast 5 people distributing Lok Paritran party flyers and talking to the people. Most of the public were rather amused and found a good use for the plastic coated sheet of paper in this summer as a fan than reading the contents. The party is contesting in TN this time, though im not sure abt the details.

The people (mainly students, it was obvious) were generally enthu and smiling...but the evening walkers werent so interested but listened for the sake of it. The couples were definitely not amused. LOL. I wasnt approached by the "party people" though, cuz I took a slightly different path in the park away from the main area.

More details will be gathered tomoro/day-after evening when i go there again. Any activites in your areas?

That is one party I support. IITians giving up thjeir work to start a political party is definitely something unusual....

Hope you will be voting for them Raghu....
 
i will definetely vote for them if they contest in my area... Good tat learned people are enterin politics...
 
Yes if i vote i will for them :) Yet to talk to them though. So im still open. Will get pics next time i meet them. Will also have a chat with the people and get to know more. I hope they have realistic ideals and dont fall into a thought of creating utopia.

coz, "Mom" is too boring, and "Grandpa" gave a stupid promise of colour tvs for people, when a lot more is desired in the field of public amenities..

If these IIT peeps are contesting here ( north chennai, which i dont think they will, coz half the retards here support crappy dravidan parties..)
i'd vote for them..
 
i dint get my voter Id yet:P. may be next election i'll vote for them.. Will see what they are gonna do for nxt 5years as a non-rulling party.
 
Hey saiyan boy, voter id is not necessary. I dont have mine yet too.

They are gonna contest very few seats. North Madras sucks :p So they wont contest there, and for the same reason they wont compete in the rural areas too. South Madras is more educated and definitely a better place. I live there :) Hope to see some of them here and with the campaigning im sure there will be.

It'll seem that they're "well-educated" people catering to "well-off" members of society..
Anyway, i dont wanna criticize them or anything, but they'll need all the support they can get..
 
I dont think they will ever be in a position to reach the rural masses or the uneducated this time. Only when they do something good will they reach such ppl - so thats till like 10 years. Talking to them wont make sense for the people nor the party. The "aam juntha" doesnt understand any of this IIT or educated politics. Its just crap for them.

hmmm i had joined this party by filling their membership form online .. but no news as yet frm them .. maybe someday ill be contesting from somwhere .. lol... btw who will be funding these chaps ? they gonna use the money they earned or something ? money is everything in indian elections .. u spend some crores and distribute liquor to those rural ****ers and thats it .. u r bound to win next day. only place these iitians can win are educated cities .. no use trying to stand in rural places as of now.

Yeah mohit. Damn right. Just like i had said earlier. Anyway will be going there again tomoro. Might talk to some of them.

And i really hope you become a MLA, mohit. And maybe i will too :P

My vote goes for lok paritran i've been visiting their site regularly for updates and their office in chennai is located in Ashok nagar. They even had a meeting in mylapore some time back.

No... they plan to be all across the country..... right now, the elections are very close in TN. That is why they are campaigning in TN now...
