Hey everyone! I’m in the market for a new budget 5G phone under ₹20,000 strictly for product photography. I need something with excellent camera and video quality, and I’m hoping to avoid any phones prone to green line issues. A few additional preferences:
  • No Samsung processors (Exynos).
  • No Poco or Motorola phones (bad past experiences).
I’ll be using the phone primarily for shooting product photos and videos, so camera performance is my top priority. Battery life and display quality are secondary but still important.

If you’ve used or know of any phones that fit these criteria, please drop your recommendations below! Deals or discounts would be a huge bonus. Thanks in advance!

Increase your budget a little and go with Nothing Phone 2a Plus 5G(256GB, 8GB RAM) @ 24k -https://www.flipkart.com/nothing-ph...e=FLIPKART&sattr[]=color&sattr[]=ram&st=color

Ok but going with curved screens means one needs to be extra careful while handing the phone even though we use screen protector & case.
Yes IQOO Z9s @ 20k looks good. Go with it then. Don't buy from flipkart buy it from amazon and do a video unboxing when it arrives.ok.

Yup the curved screen is a big risk , but the specs are decent that's why I'm considering it otherwise the non s model is also good offering 256gb at -1. 5kless

Choose between Moto Edge 50 neo & Nothing phone 2a/2a plus 256GB (sometimes 2a plus is cheaper). Both have their pros & cons, check GSMArena review & other reviews/comparisons. Moto has been improving recently, now their major con is slow OS updates but OS updates don't add anything substantial anyways these days.

I am not referring to OS updates. I was referring to the security updates. They are usually monthly or bi-monthly.
Edge50 Pro.

Nov 1 security patch last received.

I'm not professional or amateur photographer.
On lot of recommendations here on TE & other forum read, in 2006/7 bought Sony K750i (Rs.10,000/-) for good images but it 100% failed to please my eyes.
In 2011 bought Samsung Duos for Rs.4700/- and never dare to touch Sony K750i to click images.
Yes, Samsung is not best under 20k budget for photography but very hard to find equal or better than it (I think so .....)
Choice is yours.

Yes while comparing both the above said phones Motorola Edge 50 Neo has more features in all categories. Motorola Edge 50 Neo is available via flipkart for 21k in only 2 colors only while the other 2 colors are out of stock.

Photography and videography you say? Get a 7a when it's on sale. Or used. Nothing will come close to it. It runs circles around every other Android. Or an used iphone. In your budget maybe you will get an iPhone 12? Even that will be significantly better than the phones mentioned above wrt to stills and videos.

One more important thing you must keep in mind. The reviews do not matter anymore. They are ****ing biased, thus false in most cases. Gsma is not the old place it used to be. Their reviews are according to the payment they receive from different brands. Try to check YouTube a vs b vs c camera comparison. Something like this:

Be loled

... reviews are according to the payment they receive from different brands.
99% Forums are doing same now days, they just care money, after all they do not want to left out when there is raining money ...

Also do not rely 100% on comparison videos, even a second delay in catching images via 2-3 different phones make difference as clouds keep moving and so sunlight & shadows too.

Then what is the last option left, personal feel and use on a showroom Or something?

I mean use /check/ videos review online but also consider those reviewers limitation and than only decide, by this way, you will enjoy your purchase.
Also try to find out paid reviews and personal or real use review.
Their are various GOOD Indian reviewers on YouTube who let you know if they received unit free (provide good review only and keep gadget for use/sell) or for review only or didn't get any fee/gift from Brand Endorsement Team.
