I am on the look for a decent gaming mouse. I am just a causal gamer, so dont need a high end mouse like razor. Also i have a very limited budget of 700 bux
Advise accordingly

buy any one of these:

1) Iball Laser Precise

2) Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical (not Microsoft Wheel Mouse or Microsoft Basic Optical)

3) Microsoft Comfort 3000 Optical

all cost between Rs. 600 to 800

btw, watch out for the scroll on the iball laser... mines almost one year old , and its starting to skip already. a friend of mine who had an iball laser had its scroll die entirely, but got it replaced under warranty( 3 years thankfully ) me , i had to open it up to find out to satsfy my urge whether there was an ADNS series sensor in there ( unfortunately, there was not ) and voided my warranty :(

but otherwise , i recommend the mouse wholeheartedly :hap2:

curiosity kills the cat (err mouse). :)

@cyrux: I have used a iBall Blackcat for 2 years and recently the scroll ball stopped working properly. But it worked fine for 2 years and thats what you can expect out of an average mouse. So if your budget is 700 bucks and want a gaming mouse, then Laser Precise should be fine. If you want your mouse to last long, then maybe you can see the lowend logitech and genius series.

The best a mouse ever lasted me is a Logitech ball (non-optical) mouse which I got in 1998 and my sis is still using it.

So, its the iball laser precise should look out for ... shall check them out. I have also heard about some some gaming mouse from logitech in the same range..

^^i dont there there are ANY gaming mouse from logitech in that range :p

if u can double the budget ... Genius Ergo for rs1200 (with logis' G5 laser 2000 dpi engine ) is best bang for the buck...check reviews of the same for more info...

btw...where are u frm?

If you are talking about the Genius Ergo 520 which sells for 1.2k,then I dont think it has the same laser engine as G5. Its not even a laser mouse. Its an optical mouse with a resolution of 1600dpi. Its in the same league as the MX518. The Ergo 525 is the laser mouse, sells 1.6k and has the same sensor as the G5 and copperhead.

Just read on techtree, the ergo 520 which is selling for 1200 is an optical mouse with a max sensitivity of 1600 dpi , while the ergo 525 is a laser mouse with a max sens. of 2000 dpi

then i was given bad information abt this from a seller @ local.....lol..
he said the only difference btw the 1200rs mouse & 1700rs.mouse is that u get a steelpad gaming mouse pad with 1700rs mouse...lol

thanks for clearing up...
btw,,people who like heavy mice like Mx518...wont like the Ergo525/g5...they are simply too light for my taste..
