Graphic Cards Looking for a GPU for around 7K

Hey all,

I used to be a casual gamer and am looking to get back into the gaming scene. Don't really want anything fancy because I'm quite okay with running games on low/medium settings. Which is why I've decided to set a budget of 7K. Can go till 8K if it's a real VFM. This machine has Corsair VX450, ASUS P5QPL-AM and Core 2 Duo 2.66 Ghz. I am clueless about the latest advancements in GPU technology (2.1 PCIE X?), so I'd appreciate it if the kind souls of this forum could point me in the right direction. I belive my motherboard has 1 PCIe x16 slot. I'm from Chennai btw, but I'd probably be buying the card online. Considering FlipKart but any other web-store recommendations are welcome too. kthxbai.

Sapphire 1GB 7770 @ approx 8k

Thanks for your input, but it's listed @ ~9.3K on FlipKart. Did you have some place in mind where I could get it from for cheap?

Edit: I found this for 7.5 - MSI HD 7770 1GB DDR5. I don't know much about MSI but I've heard good things about Sapphire, which seems to cost about 800 more - SAPPHIRE HD 7770 1GB DDR5.

I'm also conflicted between SAPPHIRE HD 7750 1GB DDR5 and SAPPHIRE HD 7750 1GB DDR5 OC. Is that price difference really justified for the OC version? Or should I simply disregard 7750 and go with 7770 instead.

As always, would appreciate any help/pointers.

MSI has left India so prices have dropped. RMA is still active so you should be fine with it. Go with MSI, its looking more vfm than the Sapphire one
And as avtar said, stick with 7770

Thanks in advance for that .. I'm also looking for the same but one of the reviewer has confirmed it's still 3 years and SMC imports [ accro engineering ] MSI products in here now so those who want to buy a MSI product buy it from them as they will be able to offer quicker RMA than service center.
