Car & Bike Looking for a new Compact SUV car

Hi,

I am looking for a new Compact SUV car. I am currently looking at Tata Punch and Mahindra XUV300.

Constraints:

- Indian brand
- Safety is top priority
- Compactness is essential

Which other car options should I be looking at? Thanks!

I am planning to take test rides in the next coming weeks.
 
wasnt it mahindra XUV 3XO ?

and also what about TATA Nexon,

well if you are going for a foreign brand you could go with a Hyundai exter or kia sonet

If safety is your top priority, you should go for the TATA Nexon, Punch, Mahindra 3XO, or Skoda Kylaq. All are 5-star safety-rated. Brezza is a good car as well. It's a 1.5L petrol, 4 star [AFAIK], with respectable mileage and reliability. The cost of ownership is reasonable as well because it's a Maruti.

Magnite and Kiger are there. If you have a Renault/Nissan showroom in your city, do a test drive of them as well.
 
Mostly city driving with few trips to nearby locations (Lonavala etc). Location is Pune, Hadapsar area.

Expected usage is a less than an hour per day, and around five commutes per week. Not much.

We want an Indian brand, if possible.

suzuki would be great too, some say i dont want to be stuck in the maruti suzuki loop , but anyway i think they have the best service and low maintenance prices

each one to his own. Tried and Tested Maruti. Style, safety , power - Sokda. even tho 3 cylinder 1 ltr engine, packs a pwerful punch.
