CPU/Mobo looking for a new motherboard..help!

hey guys,
i am currently using asus p5pe vm motherboard,but since it doesnt have a pci - e slot i am restricted from having a good video card,also the drivers for this mobo are only for xp and vista so frankly it kinda sucks.i am looking for a ddr3 based motherboard which supports pentium dualcore processor.my budget is inside 4k.
 
i kinda googled how to find the cpu model number[complete noob here].i am strufgggling to find the exact model number but i installed a program named belarc and got this info.'
2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium D
16 kilobyte primary memory cache
1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (2 total)
Not hyper-threaded
 
No need to spend 4K on EOL LGA 775, IMO Gigabyte G41M-COMBO DDR3/2 would be perfect at 2.3K.

Second opinion-- Sell off Pentium CPU at 1K~ then upgrade to AMD ASUS M4A78LT-M LE DDR3 + Athlon II X2 250 AM3 CPU. Total would be fairly within budget of 4k+1k=5k~ (MB@ 2600 CPU@ 2650)
