@Alucard1729 hey thanks for all the research. Much Appreciated.

I always wanted lg gram , had already gotten one for my cousin too last year and shes super happy only problem was its somehow more expensive now. Anyway , I have ordered one now too , its the 10th gen intel one costing 70k , but its the last version of gram that has expandable ram so decided on that still weighs around a kg , has all ports including pd charging etc and 80 w battery which they claim to have 18 hrs with 10th gen processor but i think even if i get 10-12 hrs i should be fine.

I would say that I came across hp aero too in my research and it was a great option as well I was getting it at 65k at retail with ryzen 5 and has good battery and weighs under a kg too if anyone else is looking for something similar as well. Also I know I could have gotten a newer processor or even a U series processor for battery life but this is the only slim machine which weighs that less I know that has upgradable ram slot ( and ssd as well ) so that and my love from gram made me order it.

Now waiting for the arrival , Also Ideally i would have liked to pay around 55k which was the price of the machine on sale recently but I cudnt wait as needed one for work so bit the bullet.

I do already own a gaming laptop (legion y540 with gtx1650 ) so this should serve as a good companion to it hopefully.

Congrats on your purchase...
It's a sad situation that users need to pay a premium if they want to upgrade it in the future.

Any plan to come to Mumbai?

I actually might soon. Why you want to go on a date with me ?

I do agree it was kind of premium but ive used the machine before and loved it , only thing I am not sure of is lg service centres etc but lets see.

I did my college from mumbai btw so have fond memories and do visit often.

Like I said this is the older model , also price fluctuates quite a bit as it was 53k recently on fk but i needed one so just ordered .

That is an 8GB model. How much more was the 16GB RAM ?

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 3. Customized and bought it in April 2021. It has a Ryzen 5 5500U, 57Wh battery, IPS screen and USB-C PD charging. For normal usage and browsing the web I can squeeze up to 7 hours of battery life out of it. Whereas for media consumption I get anywhere from 4-5 hours. It has a good upgrade path as well. Can install a secondary NVME drive and additional RAM up to 24 GB. Only downside is the Wi-Fi chip. 5Ghz is a hit/miss on this model. But given its price of 57K, it was a good deal. Just sharing my experience :)
Edit: Seems like you've already purchased LG Gram . Eager to know how it performs. Also forgot to mention that it came with DOS. So had to do a fresh install of Windows 10 and Office 2019.

Get the Lg Gram 16 with 11th gen proc and 16gb ram. i5 or i7 whatever you find cheaper. I have the i7 11th gen and easily get 7-8 hours of battery life. With just media playback, youll be able to cross 16-18hrs like they claim. The 2k screen is superb.

12th Gen is too expensive currently and not necessary unless you need the extra cores. Except the processor, the only differences betweeen 11th gen and 12th gen is that 12th gen has a matte screen, no fingerprint reader and a higher res webcam. You should be able to get the 11th gen around 75-80k. Service in Mumbai is quite good - had called them to upgrade the ssd - they offered to come home the next day to do the upgrade for 1000Rs but I ended up doing it myself.

I didn’t find 11th gen anywhere , besides I wasn’t willing to strech to 80k even 70 seems a lot and I still prefer upgradable ram option of 10th gen model so I will upgrade ram to 16 or 24 gb later also quite a few times when I game I play old games like Arkham series I some old emulator stuff so this should run them fine also. Let’s see !

The 11th Gen Iris Xe graphics are significantly faster than 10th Gen graphics so if you do game, that is something that you should take into account. 10th gen may not be able to game as well as 11th gen. Also, I think 11th gen battery is 80Wh against 72Wh in 10th gen (do check this). If i were you, i'd look around for a deal on 11th gen or 12th gen rather than going for 10th gen unless you get it at a much lower price (50-55k). 12th gen should get price cuts in a couple of months. If ram upgrades are an absolute must and 16gb wont be enough, then its either 10th Gen or a different laptop though.

10th gen also has 80wh and i wasnt able to find 11th gen and 12th was out of my budget . I do agree though , ideally would have liked to pay around 55k but needed one soon as i might be travelling quite a bit soon. Also ill just game on my lenovo i think also didnt want to overthink so ordered now just waiting for it to come and se how it goes !

I do agree though was just that i couldnt wait too much so had to make a decision.

@Nolasco so turns out they delivered 11th gen 16 inch model to me even though I had ordered 10th gen one , downside is it’s 8gb ram and I can’t extend it but upside is it has 65w usb c charging so I can use well any android charger I want or even good wattage power bank to juice it up and battery backup is 11 hrs real time work and of course has iris Xe graphics, I am thinking I might just keep it lol . Thoughts ?

Either way it’s so light for a 16 inch it’s crazy like it’s one thing to know weight other thing to hold it , feels like holding a newspaper .

Red flag right there. I'd pay for a 16GB

i would agree ,but then my only use for it is basic office work and i have gaming laptop for other things so it should be fine imo. Also its a faster ram compared to older model but most importantly i Like the usb c charging .

this is a common feature, check your Legion (Lenovo) more carefully. ThinkPads had this feature for ages. Both brands are owned by Lenovo.

Does it also allow to slow the rate of charging ?
