I was looking for a 2.1 speaker set to gift to a friend within a 2K budget
I had almost decied on a Creative SBS till I decided to rely on Kamal's judgement (Delta Peripherals)
He recommended a Zebronics SW8000 which claims to be is a 30 +15 + 15 W RMS setup...to cut a long story short, i picked it up and headed back home
Before passing it on to my friend, I decided to try it out once and was more than pleasantly surprised
This sub 2K speaker could actually create a soundstage and the bass response was very tight and controlled (read as no boom) :O
For a sub 2K setup, it sounds better than several other much more expensive PC speakers I have heard
The SPLs are fairly limited and the volume does not go very high, but then even at the highest possible volume it can go to (which is more than enough for a PC speaker) it doesn't clip or distort at all :O
If you are on a tight budget and looking for a decent pair of speakers, this one fits the bill quite aptly
PS: They look quite ugly though
