I'm looking for an adapter card for the PCIe slot that supports an M.2 NVMe Drive. Gen 3 speed is more than enough for my needs. I need an extra slot for an additional M.2

I haven't found a decently-priced adapter card from a good brand. All I find on Amazon is some Verilux-branded stuff. Is it any good?
Are there any chances of data corruption if I use a bad card? Looking for recommendations and your personal experiences with an adapter card. Thanks!

Yeah you can go for that Verilux adapter. There is no active component in these adapters, they're just converters.

Also, remember, depending on the number of PCI-e lanes on your motherboard, these will get divided between the gpu and the adapter if you're using them both so keep that in mind as well, simply put the bandwidth will get divided if you have limited available.
