Looking for to join avi file

I have few avi file and need to join them. would you recomend me which software can do this job?

if you want to compile and write them on a DVD try ConverXtodvd

Virtualdub will do just fine. Just use Direct Stream copy for both the Video and audio streams (in the Video and Audio menus)

+1 to virtual dub. you have an option of appened avi in that. open the first avi file with vdub and then go to File-> Append Avi

Do these joiners 're-encode' the final product ?

What happens otherwise if you combine avi's of slightly different resolutions ?

+1 for virtual dub, just make sure you use fast recompress, that way it won't try to compress the movie again and will be a whole lot faster

Try "avi mpeg rm wmv joiner".Simple one step joiner.
