Please suggest a good inverter for my home.
Budget: Not more than 10K

I am not quite aware of the technicalities yet, but I would like the inverter to be sufficient for a 3BHK home.

Any advice, suggestion would be helpful.

Thanks!

Please give the following details-

1.Whether the cost includes only the inverter or inverter+batteries (at 10k, the combo option is difficult to get)

2.Which appliances/ gadgets you wish to power, for how long and which appliances you wish to power simultaneously and in isolation (in short, peak load).

To keep costs low, I suggest you power only lights, fans and maybe a TV through the inverter. For the inverter, look at offerings from APC, Luminous, Sukam. For the battery, you can take a look at Exide or Base Batteries.

I recently got an APC 850VA Sine Wave Home UPS (inverter) along with Exide IT500 battery after doing some market research.

It cost me 5200 + 12700 INR which is slightly higher than other cities but was the lowest I was getting here in my place.

APC is a good brand but you should check whether service is easily and adequately available in your area.

Also, as chiranjib pointed out, chalk out your specific requirements like what all things you need powered up.

Also note that if you plan to run electronics like TV and all then you should go for a Sine Wave inverter.

+1 to APC.

APC & Su Kam are best.

CROMPTON GREAVES, Do they really make inverter, I thought they are only into fans.
