Monitors Looking to buy a monitor

Hello

I am looking to buy a monitor. I would prefer if it is around 15k but i can stretch it to 20k if needed.

Couple of things:

1) 4k isn't a hard requirement. I am happy with 2k as well.
2) I would prefer if it is 32-34 inches
3) I am still not sure if a curved monitor would be good for me as i already have two flatscreen monitors. Thoughts?
4) i5 11400, 4080 super
5) I would tend to avoid ultra-wide

Beyond 120Hz, doesn't matter much for most gamers IMO. But 75Hz monitors have poor response time for even 75Hz, so it is better to stay away from anything that is not a proper gaming monitor.

Grab Acer XV272U V3 for 16-18k ASAP. It goes out of stock at times.

Yeah Acer XV272U is good. I have used v2 and its nice and colorful.

Curved monitor can be nice too. I have one that is slightly curved 32 and i liked it on day 1. But these days i don't see the curve at all.
I don't know for sure, but curve might reduce reflections.

oled displays on phones can give a good idea on difference vs ips/va.

Xiaomi's 55" 4K OLED TV was 50k on sale but is 60Hz.

LG C3 43" used to be 80k but seemed OOS in Bengaluru when I was looking for one in May, I bought 48" for 90k instead. Even I hope that in few years something like a 1440p 27" OLED monitor will be under 50k. Since TV is big, I still play games like CoD on my monitor.

I would suggest LG ultragear. During sales it came close to 20k with credit card and discounts. Its a great monitor and since you have 4080 you will be able to utilise the high 180hz refresh rate as well. You should also think about the after sales experience and LG ultragear series have a 3 year warranty and their after sales support is quite good.

VA panels are generally slower than IPS for response time

Like a 120Hz monitors needs a response time of 1/120 ms or 8.33 ms for high refresh rate compliance across dark & bright transitions.

So generally IPS monitors are better. Samsung G7 1440p 240Hz was an exception among VA monitors.

Acer model seems to be better with 300nits & its 8bits+frc achieving pseudo 10bits "1 billion" colours while lenovo one does not mention anything like that though it also claims 72% NTSC.

Any Vu or Redmi or Hisense 43" 4K TV is 8 bit + FRC. It doesn't matter much honestly. Say an 8 bit OLED will always look better than a true 10 bit IPS panel w/o FALD.

I know, I have an oled screen laptop & picture quality difference with typical IPS tv is day & night & that's not even considering HDR videos. I am more concerned about longevity & after sales support of VU/Hisense/redmi compared to acer as any typical monitor from established brands come with 3 years warranty.
