A: No local brands unless the specs are good

A: Touchscreen

A: should have both primary and secondary
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: except Windows, android preferred
8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: none, will use wifi available in home.
9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: mainly for browsing, pdf, movies and occasional gaming
10. Any other requirements?
A: should have good battery and should be available in ebay :p
Will not go for 7 incher, looking for 8 to 10 inch, if it's fhd better for watching movies :p

a friend recently purchased the dell venue 7 from flipkart, when the prices were low. he is happy with it, but was worrisome about its not-so-good battery-life as per him (a full-charge lasts 5-6 hrs on continuous wifi and net-activity).

This is 'fair' backup duration for a tablet.
 
why not ipad mini. no android tablet in that range can come close to the battery life it offers and retails for arnd 17k on amazon
 
nook hd+. 9".Full hd.Warm screen nice for reading.Expandable memory.

You can also check out kindle fire HD 8.9 on amazon.in.
Almost similar to nook hd+.Both have their pros and cons

I think iberry corex4 will suffice your needs. The reviews say that only catch is average to poor battery life. You can buy an Ambrane power bank for Rs 1500 for that. The display and gaming is awesome as per reviews.
