Losing internet connection LAN

Hi Guys,

Again some help please.

We have about 7 computers networked thru a switch to a router. One of the computers acts as a server and hosts our hospital management software.

Half are Win 8 and half are XP machines. One Win 7.

Sometimes the LAN connection symbol shows a yellow triangle and it says 'no internet access'. Most of the times, when the symbol is there we can access the server for the hospital server, but sometimes we can't.

Any suggestions?

Why is it that sometimes we get LAN working but no access to the internet?

When we reboot the particular machine, usually all works fine again for a while.

Lot of reasons why this can happen.
One of the main reasons could be IP address conflicts.
Are all machines assigned dedicated IP. Need more specific details.
Do you maintain logs for network ? you could post a log here.

Nope, no dedicated IPs.

Is that better? I can ask my networking guys to do that if you think that would be better.
