Lost my Android

Hi,

I lost my Galaxy S2 over last weekend. Sad part is I was busy and was postponing installing "wheres my droid" or any other trace feature.

So now I have only my IMEI no. Want to only ask if there is any scope of finding it? am living in Mumbai if that helps.

Phone was lost in a cab so more or less its as good as gone, but thought would ask if anyone knows a way around.

hope for the best and plan for the worst.

consider it gone and celebrate if you get it back.

meanwhile, do an FIR for lost phone.

contact samsung for help, you are an elite customer by buying their flagship phone and if that means something then they may help.

from what i last remember phone slipped from my lap in a cab and its very very thin and is on silent

so it rang for like 30 odd hours so i assume its under drivers seat and then after that battery must have died.

I already spoke to Police but I dont see them doing anything apart from just putting in a report (phone are not even lodged as FIR)

so on Tuesday i got it disconnected since it was anyways telling phone is not reachable or switched off. I must have given like in 36 hrs 150 missed calls etc

Wheresmydroid .... first can make it go on loud if phone is silent ... so i realized phone is missing in 5 mins i could i have be in better position to tell guy to return if its 5 mins old lost ... plus it gives the GPS location its off by 500 meters becoz of cell towers location.... but if u tell a cab dude return my phone coz i know you near this place its enough for him to not try n steal it sorts

As for Samsung ... their response is simple you need to download tracemyphone app then they can help you with deleting all data remotely at best ... which doesnt matter much

rest my only question is IMEI no. should help somewhere coz if person finds n puts in new sim card the IMEI no. should flag it sorts.
 
^^in delhi police can help you in those cases if you have some kind of contacts, don't know about mumbai though.

Sorry to hear of your loss :(

A friend of mine was able to retrieve his N73, with the help of IMEI number, but in his case , he had a good Police friend!

If you have someone like that , I would say its totally possible!
 
Sorry to hear, but since my brother lost his HTC 3 years ago i have taught a lesson to myself, install "Phone Locator Pro" in the cell whenever i format it
