low budget cell phone...

My friend is lookin for a cell. Budget 8 k..... He says i must have a decent camera ( not very hi.... ) mp3 capabilities and bluetooth.

6600 seems to suggest itself... is there any other model.. meeting these specifications..especially in this budget????

510 and 530 are def within 8k. 550 is a borderline case. for a bit above 8k, you can get the w300. if you plan to upgrade memory, getting hold of SE phone memory is a bit hard tho. also, get the 6600 if you need symbian..the SE's are regular phones

if u are planning on a Mp3 player...extendable memory would be a requirement..
so get yourself a Motorola L7 and Micro SD card, as they are cheap...
Another option would be Samdung X700 ...
or if u can spend 10K and are sure you wont need more than 256 MB of space....get the Sony Erricson W550i...better screen and better cam than other SE's mentioned in this thread

The Sony Erricson phones have M2 card format , which are comparitively costly..
but within them SE Z550i is da sweet spot at 8K

Your best bet would be either of the three according to your preferences SE Z550i, Nokia 6230i, Motorola V3i

L7 is a good phone, but saw a couple of them having problems with their lcd screen recently.

Moto fones are pretty good but with that budget the best bet would be a se z550 looks good incredible sound and a decent cam. and dont worry about the m2 mem.... se is going to release a large number of cell fones which are going to support m2 so prices will come down very soon.

both the 550 and the 530 come with 28 MB, but of that , dunno how much will be free. think about 20 MB for mp3's the 550 has a 1.3MP cam, and some other goodies like FM

6230i @ 8K - no way, it is bussiness class phone its cost is above 10K

moto SLVR will be good option, 6600 is crappy phone with poor sound quality and poor camera.

6600 dosent have any internal mp3 support... u need another 3rd party software to play them and cant set them up as ringtones
