You would like to rethink this option. ;)

For Asus,Winbond chips dont make any sense.TCCD would be better suited i guess. :p

@ Quad, your attempt is good and the intention noble
but most of the items you have recommended are not available in India.

Please clarify whether this is intended for really helping members in BUYING stuff or just to state, what would a be a real great config ?

Most ppl going for High End Configs have someone in US to get them the Hardware
or they suerly get will get it ne how. [Assumption]

Darky any other Low cost solution , S939 and OCable instead of this
Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939 [NForce 3 250] [OCable]

TCCD Manufacturing have been stopped by Samsung :(
So cant suggest it.
Any other solution for Ram which can OC higher at Low Volts for the Mid Range.

These configs are not theorotical its practical for purchase.
So please post ur views if any changes are needed.

Gigabyte GA-K8NS-939 [NForce 3 250] [OCable]-----> MSI K8N Neo2 Plat is a good alternative. Also i specifically pointed out this gigabyte board because if this model is made in India, then stay miles away, these are horrible boards, only look attractive.Frankly they are nothing but piece of s**t.
If its made in china/taiwan by gigabyte and not Dlink, then its ok, i have no comments. ;)

Any other solution for Ram which can OC higher at Low Volts for the Mid Range.---------> Hmmm, well a worthy succesor to the TCCD is yet to be found.I would recommend Crucial Ballistix, great RAM although expensive.

These configs are not theorotical its practical for purchase.
So please post ur views if any changes are needed.-----> If these are practical, meant for purchase configs then suggesting hardware not available here doesnt make sense to me.Whoever wants can order from US but this obviously cant be an option for all. :hap5:

Well darky, the ballistix does work well at low voltage but doesn't mind upto 3.2V. The best micron chips are 5BC and 5BG(I have 5BD which supposedly sucks :() which scale very well with voltage and most will reach 260-270 at really tight 2.5-2-2 latencies and 2.8-2.9V. However if you do pump in 3V+, they can scale upto 290-300 at the same latencies. (ppl have managed that with OCZ 3700EB)

Hehe what i meant was that ballistix uses micron chips (specifically 5BG) which do respond to high voltage :)

I more suggestion.
Centurion5 and Cavalier, superlanboy are not good choices for high end or any powerful machine.
Their price structure dosent make them high end ;)
They are all cramped.
Wavemaster is good, has removable mobo trey, chimney attachments all aluminium. P160 is also good choice. Better than wavemaster. bigger, has 120mm fans. And its too all aluminium alloy.
CMstacker is also here now. The best performer case to be honest.
Completely modable, extra attachments. Big, roomy, 120MM fans. And huge space to work with.

Thanks for ur replies , keep them comming after all i cant think of such things alone.

Darky the MSI K8N Neo2 Plat , is it a S939 Mobo [I dont have any idea]
Also how much does it cost for a Low End PC it shudnt be more than 6.5-7K

Agreed.

@ Funky - So u suggest Following cases for Hign End Rig.
Wavemaster , CMStacker , Antec P160

Will add it to me configs.

Guys it was a small effort on my part to help the people looking for Rigs.

K8N neo2 is s939 AGP board but its very expensive. Still costs around the 9K mark.
Gigabyte board is damn good choice for those building a low or mi budget AGP system. It overclocks really well. many reviews have indicated that.
CHIP made a mistake in their magazine review. I mailed them regarding that. They were unaware of the fact that advanced bios options can be accessed using Alt+F1 in that board and so they gave it bad overclocker and poor memory performaner rating.
How ignorant they can be? I think they made a note regarding that. You can still fine my post at Chip forums and reviewer accepting their mistake there.
I used this board for 10-15days and it was very good.
Performance was also very good. But it needs lots of tweaking in bios, specially memory tweaking to get it running perfectly.

Agree with you completely. The lowend coolermasters are too cramped and the (super)lanboy even more so. You wouldn't wanna put a high end rig into it. The thing that turned me off about the P160 is the looks. It couldn't be any uglier :(. After all when your are dumping 8-10K on a case, you'd expect it to look atleast half decent. Made me go for the wavemaster. If the stacker was available then, it'd easily have been my first choice. The stacker has one downer though... the insides are painted SECC :(. Makes it extremely heavy. However the new stacker 831(or whatever the number) is all aluminium and looks cool too.

K8N Neo2 Plat is a S939 AGP mobo based on the NF3-250 Ultra chipset. Looks like a good board, limited VDIMM settings though.
