I would prefer Onkyo HT-S3100 over Z5500. It's a much much better set with external amplifier (which is huge and have loads of connectivity options) and its price at same level.
Check it out once in Onkyo showroom.
Many have reported the problem with Z5500's fuse (which goes off frequently), though it can be replaced for 2 to 3 rupees. But, it really hurts when it goes off while gaming or watching a blockbuster.
Mine used to blow at the rate of 1 fuse/day untill I got really annoyed and put it on the UPS. Since then not a single fuse blowout. Anyway I do not have the set anymore, sold it off a month back.

for bass, there is no match for Z5500. Onkyo on the other hand has a monster amplifier. It may not be as loud as Z5500 but it surely has better audio quality and you have lot more freedom of playing with third party speakers if you want to add more.
Z-5500 again got best performance award in digit april's issue.
I was also interested in these speakers but cannot find the true price, they were once sold for 15K at ezone malls and now they are selling for 17-18K WTF
@Automata plz post details here if you purchase them
