HI Guys,
My Current PC Config is

AMD phenom II X4 810
Asus M4A78T-E
Corsair XMS3 1333 2x2GB
Corsair Vx450
No GPU

The problem is i m not able to play any games at default bios settings. the PC just freezes actually i think the display freezes... when i underclock my onboard to work at 1066 then things work properly..
does any one have any solution to this problem... thanx for helping in advance

Also i would like to know which GPU i can buy with out changing my SMPS budget 7k max...

You have a excellent PSU. So u can consider the following GPU's in that budget,
Sapphire HD4850 512MB GDDR3 ~ 6k
MSI HD5750 1GB GDDR5 ~ 7.25k

Sapphire HD 5750 1 GB GDDR5 Review - Page 30/34 | techPowerUp

The performance difference between the HD4850/GTS250 and the HD5750 is only ~8-10%. But the HD5750 consumes very less power.
Also remember that the card is fine for games in med. settings till 1600*900 resoltion. But it will strugle at HD resolutions.

Thanx....Guys

Cabinet circle Cosmo Red

2 x 80mm Rear Fans

Tried out

Zoo Tycoon at 1024x768

Mirror's Edge at 1024x768, 1280x960

I Loaded Optimised Default Settings and Still Problem Persists

^Perhaps the RAM has some compatibility issue with the board? Sometimes we are prompted to lower the FSB to get the RAM working properly which otherwise may result in crashes and BSODs. Some boards are very finnicky w.r.t RAM modules. Have you tried flashing the board with a newer BIOS? Check Asus's site if a newer BIOS has been released and flash the chip with the newer BIOS. And while you are at it, do not attempt it from the OS.

After a full CMOS clear i hope.

Was about to ask you about the BIOS version too but desecrator sir has already done that- thank you.

Please set the voltages and memory timings manually and check.

Sometimes, some boards may act erratic with auto settings, especially if the RAM doesn't have well-defined SPD data.

Does this happen only in games or any other cpu-intensive/gpu-intensive tasks too?

Please test your system with some stress testing utilities like Orthos, RTHDRIBL, OCCT, etc

Also keep a check on all voltages and temperatures.

Please post a screenshot of the voltages and temperatures at idle and under load in Everest, etc

Did some googling for the M4A78T-E and found this-

BUT Guys My RAM is working at 1333 i just underclocked the Onboard Graphics speed To 1066 and core speed to 533(default is 500)

I m not good at overclocking and stuff like that so no idea how to actually adjust voltages....

I had run some Stress testing utilities(i dnt remember the names) before ....... but it didn't crash at default setting but as soon as i played the above mentioned games it crashed...

How to Check if PSU is providing proper output....

@pegasus: I had gone throught the link before...but actually didnt find the proper solution...or may not bright enough to infer i guess..:)..thanx neways for helping

^ Why are you increasing core speed?

Does it crash at 500(core)/1333(sideport memory i guess)?

What is the rated voltage and timing of that RAM?

Please check voltages in BIOS and using Everest in Windows.

@pegasus
Just was setting the core clock to (533)1066 so that it matches the speed... (thought that was right thing to do). Both Rams are working at 667

@darkAngel
Plz Also Help in getting me a cabinet around 3-3.5k not more than that.
Also I would like to know how much difference it makes with Case Fans. How much i would have to shell out for playing at full graphic at 1600x900 resolution on vx450

Also i have a query i use my config for downloading a lot is there any software that optimises the power consumption when i m leaving my PC for downloading..

Thnx for helping

I have the same motherboard and am using ASUS EPU software that came with the drivers CD. you can get the latest version here.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

The only time I need to increase the CPU to its maximum is during gaming or extracting huge compressed files. During general usage like browsing/downloading I use the 'silent' profile. It underclocks the CPU to 400 MHz per core instead of the default 3.2GHz (I am not sure whether it is 400 or 800, not at home ATM so can't check). There is also an AUTO mode which I haven't checked. It's very easy to use and has a few user customizable options.
