I'm aware of the Apple tax on RAM and Storage. With storage you can still get away with using external Ssds, but there's no other solution for ram other than getting a higher spec right if the bat.

Yes that's why I said if it's animating using adobe (after effects) then you'll need more. But from what I've read, even 32gb isn't enough.

Main point was to consider the next base model rather than upgrade lower model and pay a lot on apple website. You find crazy deals for previous year Macbook pros and sometimes even current ones 5-6 months after launch. Especially imported ones.
