Mafia 2 PS3 ENDLESS LOADING SCREEN PROBLEM

Hey guys i started playing mafia 2 on my ps3 just a day back and now i am in chapter 2 and after i kill the 1st guy on the way to stealing Mike's car the game goes to loading and it continously loads for hours and hours. Any idea how solve the problem? I heard that a patch has been updated by 2KGAMES but i do not have internet on my PS3 so how do i update it?
 
Internet is the only way you can update. Take it to your friends place who has got an internet connection, plug in the ethernet cable and update to the latest game patch. Wont even take 15 minutes depending on the internet speed.
 
I never had this problem with Mafia 2. Is this problem only on Mafia 2 disc sold here in India? Cause I played Mafia 2 in US last year November and never had any problem completing chapters.

i havent loaded games on HDD ..im using original bleray disk of god of war 3 still facing this loading problem...
 
I am using CFW i got the same copy of the game from some of my sources from Bangkok. That worked perfectly ^__^ Finished the game. Felt bad for Joe though. MODS you can close the thread :)
 
Needn't close it. If someone else comes up with a similar issue, he/she can append the thread.

Could no solution be found to resolve the endless loading screen issue in your case?
 
In my case there was some problem with the files. BUT many people are having loading issues with Chapter 14 Stairway to Heaven. Guys my advice to you is -

1. Do NOT ROB shops just steal cars and dump the cars you will get 400-500$.

2. If that dont work then replay the chapter do not press continue story go to the select chapter screen then replay chapter 14 from there itself.
