M & M have stopped the production of Classic. Though you can get one second hand for around 2L. Search at some local dealer or you can try contact mahindra's First Choice.

^ Dude, I got classic jeep from ludhiana @ 70K and restored and modded it for 1L.

In Punjab you can get many of them also east delhi.

2L which you are saying is super expensive. You can buy a proper working sedan in that amount.

@rock 2L is for 4*4 Classic which in my view is total worth.

Just a small problem is you need a backup car (executive/sedan) along with Classic if you'r a family guy and your office supports only formal

Best thing to do is to purchase a Classic (<80k) in a sensible condition and MOD it to your requirements...

You just need to know where to start looking

Good condition Classic would fetch not less than 1.70L.
Gypsy starts from around 1.50L.

Very well maintained Jeeps could be yours for ~ 2.5L.

In case you want to get junk & then try to turn it into Gold, it will be a hectic affair & offroad performance would not be great. Failures & frequent garage visits are common in such egs.

If you want custom made Jeep, maybe Willys or other army disposal jeeps, try out in Mandi Dabwali/ Moga in Punjab, they are mecca for converters.
