Idea Cellular customer can now make payments on Windows Store using their mobile devices and the amount will be deducted from their prepaid account or added to the postpaid bill.
Currently consumers have to register their credit card which is the only payment option available for any paid content in various app stores. India has only 20mn credit cards in circulation i.e penetration of less than 3%. Hence this partnership will empower Idea pre-paid and post-paid users using Microsoft devices to download their favorite apps and games from Windows Store with the option to pay conveniently & securely through their mobile bills or balance deduction in case of prepaid.

Pretty nifty service for several of us if not abused. Should be made available on all mobile operators and mobile app stores of all OS platforms.

Nice initiative. Boon for both prepaid and postpaid users. No hassles of cr/dr cards. :cool:
Sadly not useful for me as m no idea user.
