well today was quite a big day in the EPL. mourinho gave his younger players a chance and chelsea was without their top guns and they went down 1-0 to Newcastle United. but that didn't have any effect on Chelsea. the main match was Arsenal against Wigan Athletic. this was arsenal's last match in HIGHBURY, their mecca for the last 93 years. they will be moving to a new stadium. plus this happened to be the last EPL game that the famously non-flying former dutch striker Dennis Bergkamp played for Arsenal. he will be hanging up his boots probably after the champions league final. the main thing was arsenal had to win this contest to move on to the 4th position in the EPL table rankings and automatically qualify for the next year's champions league qualifiers else their bitter rivals tottenham hotspurs would have done so. and Arsenal did just that. they beat wigan 4-2 with Henry scoring a hat-trick. and to rub salt to the wound of spur's fans, west ham beat tottenham hotspurs 2-1. now the main thing which was in news today was that during MAN U's match against Charlton Athletic, MAN U striker RUUD VAN NISTELROOY left the match and went home. the reason was first, his non-inclusion in starting line-up of today's game and second, when he came to know that his name was not in the list of players whose contract has been renewed. YES SIR ALEX FERGUSON HAS DONE IT AGAIN, first we saw David Beckham leave, then we saw Roy Keane leave, now (and don't read this if u are a MAN U fan) apparently Ruud Van Nistelrooy won't be seen playing for MAN U ever again. he might be considering some transfer offers coming up his way. yes these are the first impressions and this might be confirmed in the next few days. but this was bound to happen some day, MAN U never gave their stars a well deserved and happy sending off anyways.

So what? Abrahamovic (or whatever his name is) will be buying him for Chelsea :p

Man U can MAKE new stars now instead of going for old ones :D

It just keeps getting worse.

He needs atleast 2 top-midfielders, another world class striker, 2 world class defenders.

And van Nistelrooy was my favourite :( !

I wouldn't mind if he buys Henry + Ballack though :ohyeah:

common, now van nistelrooy has become old for u guys. agreed that the fresh blood is doing the job for MAN U, but atleast give some respect to ur world class striker. my only point is atleast give a honourable sending off to the guys who have served u loyally to the best of their abilities. people like david beckham, roy keane and van nistelrooy deserved much more respect than what they got from Sir Alex. and yes i forgot to mention Ole Gunner Solksjaer, the striker who won MAN U the champions league, where is he? lost in oblivion, forgotten.

well, the way Henry knelt down and kissed highbury after scoring a hat-trick tells u that he isn't leaving arsenal. if he does, Arsenal is doomed and BARCA will pocket him. and BALLACK is coming to chelsea. :cool2: but, i still don't know who are the three players from chelsea who will be in the "FOR SALE" transfer window.:( i still haven't forgiven mourinho for selling JIMMY FLOYD HASSELBAINK to middlesborough at the beginning of this season.:@

Ole was one of my favs.

Anyway, its not like i dont like Ruud, is because Man U bought Ruud just when the "slide" started. and i've never really supported them (or anyone else) since then.

the problem is that MANu forgot their heroes.. they went for stars coz they had the money.. stars never work jus like in the case of real madrid .. the silent assasin ole was forgotten.. keano was not given due respect.. beckham had a shoe on his face .. forlan came and left...i loved the matches when the fans would sing DIEGO DIEGO.... old trafford is losin its charm... its not the same as it was when they won the treble..

worse i dont get espn star so i cant watch epl anymore...
