What is the best management book(s) that you have read.

I think the best management books are
1. The Bhagavad Gita
2. The monk who sold his ferrari

I have read some

1: Why Elephants can't Dance - Louis Gerstner - Ex CEO of IBM Retired in 2002.

Amazing book. I did not know IBM was close to being sold in 1990's.

2: Business Maharaja's - Primal or something of this sort.

Excellent Books about all biggies in Business. Dhirubhai Ambani,Rajiv Bajaj, Aditya Birla, Shah Brothers, Goenka, Ratan Tata.

3: Maverick

Amazing Book about the Maverick himself :)

4: Who moved my Cheese

Small book 1 hour to read, but can teach u a lot if you are willing to learn that is :)

5: Rich Dad Poor Dad

Must Read. If you read you will forget your BIG BAD RIGS and start some Money Savings. For those who love Gadgets dont read :)

6: Dont Sweat over Small Things and everything is a Small Thing

Good book, but not for those who are overambitious sort. Overambitious guys dont read this, you will not like what the author wants to say.

7: The Monk who sold his Ferrari

8: The Nudist on the Late Shift : And other True tales of Silicon Valley - Po Bronson

About True Startups in Silicon Valley ( Not India, about original Silicon Valley - US of A)

will post some more... dont remember the full name... :)

oh yes..who moved my cheese is really good..and there are some more books by spencer johnson like the one minute manager..another good one which can teach you a number of things.

Ave been reading "Freakonomics" and this thing just rocks...on a side note, I also read books based on stocks/shares and I really like "One Up On Wall Street" by Peter Lynch and "The Warren Buffet Principle".

Yup Alchemist is good and simple and sweet.

Also GodFather.... Mario Puzo. Good book on Mafia Management

Yup as Darthcoder said. Warren Buffet is an good book. He is the 3rd richest man in world ( might have changed but i know this much ). And he aint having any company etc, just the Berkshire Hathway Fund and other funds made him a Billionare. Amazing book but would have liked if he himself wrote.
