I'd just like to know why would someone get an infraction for writing the correct price of certain product in the market. I agree its the sellers wish to sell at whatever price he wants but isn't it our responsibility that we make sure that the price of something is not greater than the cheapest price we get from the dealers on the forum or else where.

We always advice people with the correct prices but when it comes to the market people can tag their products with exorbitant prices without giving a hoot what the market price is and keep bumping til some day some poor chap gets conned.

I hope the MOD's take some action against this and somek kind of control in pricing is brought in.

U cant be always sure na, that price U assumed is 100% correct.

eg. Some people crap others thread without knowing KMD fees etc, they just multiply price x $ rate and start rant.

There is lots of political lowballing going in TE, Bazaar is getting more popular than Tech related posts. I hope MODs implement new rule, market/dealer section posts should not be counted.

Thats why this rule implemented.

People in the market and dealer section (even for IC), people do use fancy title like "FS] Summer Clearance sale.. computer hardware, grab some!! " and DHAMAKA season. Titles are supposed to say what are you selling and not to be used a 1 line jingle. Can such threads be reported?

Yes and thread titles like GTX 275 : HD 4890 killer blah blah, its not required.

Mostly these clearance, Dhamaka sales have high prices than normal sales

Anyways the market section needs some cleaning up a, control in price according to me especially we all know how a CM 600W was sold at an exorbitant amount.

Very true, I am comparatively quite a newbie here, but I am seeing this already...

Well- market, dealers AND hot deals and discussion section must be specific on the title thread. The user can make decisions if a product is a killer product or not. Title is used to expression what is the post is about- not a billboard. This is a technical forum- not ebay.

I have seen certain threads in these section where sellers say "PM me for prices"- WTF! There have been certain cases that people (dealers, sellers, people who are arranging GO) in these sections are misleading people by overexaggerating technical specs and using flashy statements which is also unacceptable.

@ horny: lol that's funny man :D

One argument in favour of asking to PM for pricing is , some dealers who are selling below the minimum set by the distributor / cartel/whoever might get reported by others. so they cant publish the prices here. but hey, if we get better prices , I dont mind.

This is also true. I believe there was an incident of this sort right here on TE where the dealer had to remove the prices and put "Pm me for price"

i kinda agree.. coz ive seen people referring to TE when they want INFORMATION ABOUT LATEST HARDWARE PRICES...

So, IMHO, Posting the Confirmed Price of the New Product (Should be locally available in India and shudnt be out of stock or smthing) shud be allowed.

So that the buyer dsnt has to search google, TE, odr sites like hell to know abt current market price of product.

This also gives options to the buyer and hence better satisfaction upon buying the product from TE.

PS: Jst the Product name and the Price and the Source. Not one word more.

Someone really has to stop amarbir
???? What has he done wrong? imo he is an excellent genuine dealer. Please dont post like this w/o any reasons.

HE maybe a good dealer but come on get the product in stock and then post with proper pricing and stuff and don;t rant about which company your shop will handle

Also I have recently seen that how dealers have started saying for price PM this should be disallowed consider I want to buy something for that I 1st PM him I wait for his price in which I waste an entire day and if the price is not right I go to the local market and get it thus causing me unnecessary inconvenience.
