@Metalspree, thats it i too have my aircel no on DND and i don't receive any spam. Its a prepaid connection
 
Hey TRAI, are you doing anything against people who tag you in unnecessary apps on FB? That is a serious problem these days. :P

I sent only START DND.
No other thing like 1 or 2 etc.

BTW,is there any option so that we can receive only SMS(including promo offers from operators and bank sms) but any kind of spam call will be fully blocked ?
 
^ you can try START 1,5 if you want bank and consumer goods notifications, here is the list

There are at present 7 preferences to choose from
Banking/Insurance/Financial Products/Credit Cards-1,
Real Estate-2,
Education-3,
Health-4,
Consumer goods and automobiles-5,
Communication/Broadcasting/Entertainment/IT, Tourism-7.
 
Awesome, thats a huge relief for people who text :)

BTW what about the operator, they have reduced the value of their sms packs :(

^ Thats good, i use vodafone, previously the sms pack was 15000 for 34/-, but now they have reduced it to 3000 message after the TRAI rules, now what. will they increase it to 6000, or .... :@
 
Lol :rofl: Actually reliance has also increased rates, but since I am an old customer, I'm left out :tongue:
